4 Priorities for NIACC Alliance

Improve Members
Financial Performance

The NIACC Alliance will support the financial viability and sustainability of member organisations through efficient procurement of products, services and revenue maximisation

    To achieve this we will:

  • Develop and implement annual budgets that raise funds through membership fees/contributions and additional grant contributions
  • Establish a ‘formula’ for new members to enter to the Alliance
  • On-going applications to grants for regional, rural and remote providers
  • Coordinated services that ensures maximisation of government revenues e.g. ACFI
  • Procure core products and services for all members through joint purchasing program

Workforce Solutions

The NIACC Alliance will support member organisations to recruit, retain and develop a professional workforce

    To achieve this we will:

  • Establish a new graduate program with local universities/ TAFE for future Registered Nurses (RNs) work placements and recruitment
  • Develop a partnership with an accredited training organisation (RTO) to deliver on-line and face to face training, accredited training and non-accredited training for member organisations
  • Investigate establishing centralised HR services for all member organisations

Established Corporate Services

Working collaboratively with member organisations the NIACC Alliance will secure goods and services that support efficient operations

    To achieve this we will:

  • Identify goods and services, enter contracts with suppliers with the aim of reducing operational overheads for member organisations
  • Establish the NIACC Alliance Corporate Services to deliver services to support member organisations. Members will be able to focus on their core functions of delivering quality aged care services

Strengthen Member
Organisations

Alliance members will be fully compliant and accredited with all governance, quality, risk and government legislation and regulations

    To achieve this we will:

  • Establish consistent processes and practices for the streamlining of all government compliance requirements
  • Engage industry experts to coordinate and oversee compliance and accreditation requirements of member organisations
  • Contract providers to develop standardised policies, processes and practices for key systems i.e.
    - governance
    - quality
    - risk
    - financial/auditing
